One track, but two songs. You get an A-side and a B-side! "The Best Medicine" comes from our debut EP 'Something Old,' and "Careful, I Bite" is from 'Pastiche.'

Most of us use humor to mask pain; crack a joke in time of discomfort. In 2009, I wrote "The Best Medicine" as an expression of this theme, telling the story of adolescent friendship in the face of certain death. When I finished the song, I became convinced that the ending riff could be so much more. That's where "Careful, I Bite" came in. With a continuing motif of "tragedy-meets-comedy," I always imagined the two songs as back-to-back numbers to be played live the same way Jackson Browne would follow "The Load Out" with "Stay."

Well, this is it. We've recorded what we believe to be the best version of both songs in one epic jam. The Best Bite, if you will. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
